Italian Studio Pottery Stylised Horse Plate

A striking mid century Italian hand painted studio pottery plate marked '256 Italy' on the base. The plate has an organic shape with a raised edge and is hand decorated with a stylized black horse set against a turquoise blue washed background. 

Unfortunately, there are a number of small nibbles to the rim as shown in the photos which has been refelcted in the price. The image remains bright and clear and the plate displays well. 

It measures approximately 13.25" tall x 8" at the widest point
